Eligibility Criteria - ABVMU CNET 2026

1. B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years) Eligibility

  • Minimum Age: 17 years on or before 31st December 2026.
  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as subjects.
  • Minimum 45% marks in PCB taken together for General/UR category.
  • Minimum 40% marks in PCB for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility.
  • Candidates from State Open School (recognized by State Govt.) or NIOS with Science and English are also eligible.
  • Colour blind candidates are eligible if they use colour corrective contact lenses/spectacles.
  • Married candidates are eligible.
  • Final admission is subject to medical fitness declared by a Medical Board.
  • For Government Nursing colleges, candidate must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

2. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing (2 Years) Eligibility

  • Minimum Age: 17 years on or before 31st December 2026.
  • Must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate (12th Standard) or equivalent examination.
  • Must hold a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and be registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
  • Male nurses trained before the new integrated course must provide evidence of approved training in an alternate area (OT, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, etc.) in lieu of midwifery.
  • Colour blind and married candidates are eligible.
  • Subject to medical fitness.

3. M.Sc. Nursing / NPCC (2 Years) Eligibility

  • Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
  • For M.Sc. Nursing: Minimum 1 year of clinical or teaching experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing OR prior/after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • For NPCC: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferably in a critical care setting after B.Sc. Nursing or P.B.B.Sc. Nursing.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation is as per Uttar Pradesh State Government norms and within INC/State Government sanctioned seats.
  • PwD Reservation: 5% horizontal reservation for candidates with loco-motor disability of 40%-50% of lower extremity.
  • EWS Quota: 10% reservation, valid EWS certificate issued on or after 1st April 2026 required.
  • OBC Certificate: Valid OBC certificate issued on or after 1st April 2026 only will be accepted.
  • Caste certificates must be issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM) of UP Government and must be verifiable online.
  • NCC 'C' certificate with Grade B is acceptable. NCC 'A' and 'B' will not be considered.
  • Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission.

Candidates must select 3 preferred cities at the time of form filling. The final allotment may differ due to administrative reasons.

No direct admission will be allowed in any of the above institutions for 2026-27. All admissions will be done strictly through CNET 2026 merit and counselling.

How to Apply for ABVMU CNET 2026 Online

Follow the steps below carefully to complete your CNET 2026 registration and application. All forms must be filled online only. No application will be accepted by post.

Step 1: Register on Official Website

Visit www.abvmuup.edu.in and click on the CNET 2026 link. Click the Register button for your desired course (B.Sc./P.B.B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing). Fill in your name, date of birth, gender, email, mobile number, category and other required details. Verify your email and mobile with OTPs. After successful registration, you will receive a unique Registration ID and one-time password on your registered email and mobile.

Step 2: Login and Fill Application Form

Login using your Registration ID and one-time password. Change the default password immediately. Click on Fill Form and complete all stages: Stage 1 (Personal Information), Stage 2 (Address), Stage 3 (Educational Qualifications and Centre City Preferences - choose 3 exam city preferences), Stage 4 (Upload Live Photo, Passport Photo, Signature, and scanned Verification Sheet), and Stage 5 (Form Preview). Click Save and Next after each stage.

Step 3: Pay Application Fee Online

After completing the form, click Pay Fee button for your respective course. You will be redirected to the online payment gateway. Pay the application fee (Rs. 3000 for UR/OBC or Rs. 2000 for SC/ST/PwD) via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Wait for a payment success confirmation message. If payment fails, wait for 30 minutes before attempting again. The fee is non-refundable.

Step 4: Final Submission and Download Confirmation

After successful payment, your application form will be automatically submitted. Wait for the confirmation message: your application form has been successfully submitted. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email. Download and print the final submitted application form for your records.

Important Points to Remember:

  • Use only your personal email ID and mobile number for registration.
  • Details in the form must match exactly with your Class 10th certificate.
  • Do not share your Registration ID or password with anyone.
  • Download the Verification Sheet proforma before starting the form and fill it in blue ballpoint pen before uploading.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected without any intimation.
  • Once submitted, the application cannot be withdrawn.

Admit Card - ABVMU CNET 2026

  • Admit card will be available from 30th May 2026 (tentative) on www.abvmuup.edu.in.
  • Download using your Registration ID and password.
  • Take a coloured printout of the admit card. Digital or black-and-white copies will not be accepted.
  • Admit card will not be sent by post.
  • Duplicate admit cards will not be issued at the exam centre.
  • Candidates will be photographed/videographed at the exam centre along with the admit card for verification.
  • Issue of admit card does not confirm final eligibility, which will be verified at a later stage.

Exam Day Instructions

  • Reporting Time: 9:00 AM (two hours before exam start).
  • Mandatory biometric capturing will be done at the entry gate. Candidates failing this step will not be allowed inside.
  • No entry after 10:15 AM will be allowed.
  • No candidate can leave the hall before the exam ends.
  • Candidates must hand over Question Booklet and both copies of OMR sheet to the invigilator before leaving.

  • In case of tie in marks, inter-se-merit for B.Sc. Nursing will be decided based on: Biology marks > Chemistry marks > Physics marks > Nursing Aptitude marks > English marks > Higher Age > Class 10th marks.
