- Applicant must be a currently enrolled undergraduate (graduation-level) student.
- Student must be studying in a recognized Technical College or Management Institute.
- Both Railway employees' children (Railway) and general students (Non-Railway) are eligible.

Rules and Terms – SECR Internship 2026
Candidates selected for SECR Summer Internship 2026 must follow these important rules:
- At the time of reporting for training, selected interns must submit a Declaration Form confirming they have not undergone internship training anywhere else previously.
- The last date to apply is 25 May 2026. Applications must reach the DRM Office, Bilaspur by this date.
- Applications must be sponsored by the candidate's college or institute. Direct applications without college sponsorship will not be accepted.
- Interns are not entitled to any stipend, salary, or allowances of any kind from the Railway Administration.
- Interns are not entitled to any Railway pass or PTO (Pass Travel Order) during the internship period.
- Interns must follow all Railway discipline, rules, and conduct regulations during the training period.
- Interns will be liable to compensate for any loss or damage to Railway equipment or fittings caused during training.
- Interns will not be treated as Indian Railway employees and will have no claim for compensation or damages for any injury during the internship.
- Interns will be under the administrative control of the Head of the Unit or Office concerned.
- Internship experience cannot be claimed as an advantage for any future Railway employment.
- All other rules will apply as per Establishment Rules No. 146/2014 and 202/2014.

Every selected intern must fill and submit the Declaration Form attached with the SECR Summer Internship 2026 notification. The form requires:
