Qualification Validity Period
- Graduate and Technician (Diploma) disciplines: Qualification must be obtained between 01 April 2022 and 28 February 2026.
- Trade Apprentices (ITI/Data Entry Operator): Qualification must be obtained between 01 April 2021 and 28 February 2026.
- Qualifications obtained through Part-time, Correspondence, or Distance Learning are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with B.E./B.Tech., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent qualifications are NOT eligible for Graduate Apprentice post.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings. The second training must not be in the same trade. A minimum gap of one year between two trainings is required.

Stipend
The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act 1961/1973, Apprenticeship Rules 1992/2019/2025 as amended from time to time.
Selection Process
- There is no written test or interview.
- Selection is merit-based, prepared on the percentage of marks secured in the essential prescribed qualification for the respective post.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification at IOCL units or offices as decided by management.
- Candidates must complete a Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test as per IndianOil's pre-engagement medical format. Guidelines are available at https://iocl.com/apprenticeships.
- Candidates whose documents and medical fitness certificate are in order will be issued an Offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training.
- Vacancies not filled in initial shortlisting shall be considered from the panel cum merit list.

Rules and Important Instructions
- Candidates must apply only for ONE discipline code. Multiple discipline applications will be summarily rejected.
- Applications must be submitted only against vacancies notified for Western Region states. Selecting training locations outside notified states will result in rejection.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying for UR seats must meet the eligibility standards applicable to General category candidates.
- CGPA/Letter Grade must be converted to aggregate percentage as per university norms. A certificate from the university must be furnished at document verification.
- Candidates registered with Employment Exchange or Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (PwBD) must apply through NAPS/NATS portal only.
- Canvassing of any kind will disqualify the candidate.
