Eligibility Criteria
All eligibility requirements below are reproduced from the official advertisement.
Nationality
Candidate must be one of the following: (a) Citizen of India, or (b) Subject of Nepal, or (c) Subject of Bhutan, or (d) Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 Jan 1962 intending permanent settlement, or (e) Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with certificate of eligibility from Government of India.
Age Limit (As On 30.11.2025)
Minimum Age: 21 years. Maximum Age: 30 years (born not earlier than 1 Dec 1995 and not later than 30 Nov 2004). Relaxations as per government rules (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen etc.) are detailed in the advertisement.
Educational Qualification (As On 30.11.2025)

Stages Of Selection
The recruitment follows three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Phase I)
- Main Examination (Phase II) — separate formats for Generalist and Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers
- Interview
Preliminary Examination (Phase I)
Applicability: Both Generalist and Hindi Officers.
Mode: Online Objective Test. Total Marks: 100. Duration: 60 minutes. Each section is separately timed.
